Floam World is an evolving cinematic universe exploring beauty, consumer culture, identity, and adaptation within a surreal, speculative future, using artificial intelligence as both medium and creative collaborator.

“The World is centered around ‘FLOAM’ – a fictional material born from discarded ocean plastics and debris.”

Interior of a modern room on a boat or submarine, with a large round window showing the ocean, and four red-haired women dressed in fashionable clothing, one sitting at a table with a stack of octopus tentacles, another standing in the window holding a drink, and two seated on cushioned benches.

WHAT IS FLOAM WORLD?

A person with yellow hair and large pearl earrings looks at a manikin head with matching yellow hair, situated on a table inside a room with an oval window showing a cloudy sky and ocean.

Floam World explores how identity, beauty, power, and consumer culture evolve in futures shaped by environmental instability, rising water levels, technological excess, and shifting realities. Through fashion, speculative products, and cinematic storytelling, it looks at what happens when survival, comfort, and aspiration start to blend together.

Humor keeps things approachable. The world stays intentionally comforting even while questioning beauty standards, consumer spectacle, and the pressures shaping how we present ourselves.

Floam World lives somewhere between satire and possibility, imagining unfamiliar futures that still feel emotionally recognizable. Because honestly, we still want to look good at the end of it all.

WHAT IS FLOAM?

A person with an elaborate gray wig, large pink sunglasses, and vintage-style earrings is reclining in an inflatable gray boat on the ocean. Two cartoonish, furry, gray creatures with sleepy eyes are riding in the boat with them. The background features a cloudy sky and calm water. Above, the text reads 'FLOAM WORLD' with two creature faces replacing the 'O's, and smaller text below says 'esc™ pod.'
A person with blue hair and a gray blazer standing in an office cubicle, holding a beige vintage telephone receiver to their ear and a beige plastic object resembling a globe.

Floam refers both to the world itself and to the adaptive materials within it. In this future, fashion isn’t just aesthetic. It becomes flotation, protection, comfort, and sometimes emotional support as environments shift and water becomes part of daily life.

Much of Floam grows out of technological waste. Plastics and discarded materials transform into clothing, furniture, products, and occasionally something sentient.

Among these are Floamees, hybrid companion creatures that absorb emotional overflow, offer unsolicited honesty, and sometimes malfunction. They reflect our complicated relationship with care, consumption, and the things we rely on to feel okay.

It’s a Floam World and, we’re all just floating in it.
